Carolyn Mikulencak is a New Orleans writer, waitress, and Jungian aspirant who grew up in Oklahoma. Her stories and essays have been published in various journals and magazines and have been awarded a few prizes or placed on short lists, her favorite being the Sean O Faolain Short Story Competition because she loves Ireland, although she has never been there. She holds an MFA in creative writing from the University of New Orleans and is a student in the New Orleans Jungian Seminar. Her writing tends towards dreams, the mythopoetic, and the emotional strategies women make in everyday life.
